Summer School Robotics Programs
The FLL off-season summer school program would give students a fun introduction to FIRST LEGO League through hands-on building, coding, and teamwork activities. This summer program give students a glimpse of what the competitive program would look like. Students would learn how to design and program LEGO robots, practice solving simple mission challenges, and explore the innovation and teamwork elements of the program in a supportive, non-competitive environment.
The program would help students build confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills while giving them a strong foundation for future participation in FLL. It would also allow coaches to observe student interests, collaboration, and readiness for the regular season.
The ADC Drone summer school program would introduce students to the fundamentals of drone flight, teamwork, and mission-based problem solving in a structured, hands-on setting. Students would learn basic flight controls, safety procedures, and challenge strategies while gaining experience with the technology and skills used in the Aerial Drone Competition field.
The program would also prepare students for the competitive season by helping them become familiar with expectations, team dynamics, and the overall ADC environment. An emphasis would be put on flight control and piloting skills.
The FTC Off Season summer school program would immerse students in a project-based robotics experience that introduces the pace and structure of FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). Students would explore how a robot is designed and built, gain exposure to tools and systems used in FTC, and begin learning how programming, strategy, and collaboration come together in competition. An emphasis would be put on driving the robot.
Through guided activities and small team projects, students would strengthen critical thinking, communication, and technical problem-solving skills while becoming more comfortable with the expectations of the FTC environment. The program would also help students build readiness for the season ahead and give coaches a chance to identify developing strengths and areas of interest.
